Created in 2003 for an exhibition at Canterbury's Royal Museum, the Cabinets of Curiosities explore the suspension of disbelief caused by the authority of museum labelling. We rarely question the descriptions we read in museums, galleries or authoritative books, taking them at face value, whether or not they are true.

Of the specimens contained in these cabinets, some are obviously fictitious, others ambiguous and others genuine, leading the viewer to ponder as to what is true and what isn't.
