Valentine's Day 2019 is Thursday! Let's count down with wedding songs!

Several people have asked me if I ever perform with other instrumentalists. The answer is: yes! This video is part of a series throughout the next five nights of songs playing with one of my colleagues, a violinist! Each night will have 3-4 songs and be centered around some of the classic love songs played at weddings. The past three nights have included Modern Romance, Golden oldies/Broadway, Disney, Celtic, Neo-Classical, and Classical. Thursday night itself, the Evening of Romance, will be traditional wedding music!

Tonight's theme: Religiously-inspired! Many weddings in the USA incorporate highly personal elements, including memorials, special readings, and religious traditions. Tonight's selections celebrate the best aspects presented by religious ceremonies: the elements of sacredness, honor, dedication, transcendental hope, and of course, soul-deep love. Though I have played for ceremonies that incorporate many walks of life and beliefs, tonight's selections include some of the most frequent songs from the historical Christian repertoire.
