Music video for the song, Survivors, by singer songwriter Greg Smyth. The song was written on VE Day 2020 and the final recording was released for the VE Day weekend 2021. Greg says "The song is about overcoming adversity and the lyrical themes were influenced by the World War II footage shown on TV during the VE Day celebrations and the struggles that we were experiencing during the first Coronavirus lockdown".

Greg Smyth is a Belfast born singer songwriter based in Bedfordshire, England. His musical styles include guitar pop, indie rock and alt-country. Greg counts Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Van Morrison among his biggest influences.

Greg comes from a musical family. His parents toured the United Kingdom and Ireland for over 40 years as an Irish and country band and his brother, Chris, is a musician. Greg's father is also a producer whose work includes The Undertones classic hit "Teenage Kicks". He is now working with Greg on his latest album.

Greg Smyth formed his first band, "The Tunesmyths", with his brother Chris in 1999. Their album, "Anything Goes", proved popular on university campuses. Greg went on to release a solo album in 2005 entitled "Secret Songs", which featured 11 original tracks.

Following the shocking death of a close friend and talented musician to a heart attack in July 2019, Greg was inspired to start song writing again. His first song, "Hard Times", was a tribute to his friend and Greg went on to write over 50 songs during the following 12 months. He is currently working on a project with his father to turn the demos of these new songs into finished tracks with the aim of releasing at least one every month throughout 2021.
