Work opportunities for Bangladeshi youth in Italy, Greece

Italy and Greece have started the process to hire workers under “seasonal” and “non-seasonal” categories this year. Italy announced plans to hire around 70,000 workers from 31 countries, including Bangladesh, in 2022.
Besides, Bangladesh and Greece will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) very soon to recruit workers. Up to 69,700 workers from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) will be able to enter Italy for work purposes in 2022 under the quota. Of the work permits, 42,000, for temporary seasonal workers, 14,000 for agricultural workers, 27,000 for “non-seasonal contracts” (employees) and self-employed workers.
