The BASF sponsored Agricultural Science Policy Breakfast series is on each occasion hosted by a member of the European Parliament, in this case Christine Singer MEP. Members of the Parliament who are interested in agriculture, assistants, policy advisers, and external stakeholders, are invited to participate. Independent and well-respected experts are invited to explain over breakfast key areas of science and or technology underpinning current policy debates and answer questions from the audience.

Ole Schou is an independent agricultural advisor who is based in Denmark. He talked about resilience of the remaining EU crop protection toolbox and stressed the need to accelerate, including digital and biological solutions, conventional crop protection, and especially plant breeding innovation.
