Disposition: 60 rebuilt; 12 preserved; 28 scrapped
Disposition of the rebuilt West Country and Battle of Britain locomotives: 10 preserved; 50 scrapped

12 of the unrebuilt West Country and Battle of Britain locomotives and 10 of the rebuilt West Country and Battle of Britain locomotives managed to survive into preservation at various degrees of intactness. 34023 Blackmoor Vale, 34051 Winston Churchill, 34066 Spitfire and 34086 219 Squadron were the only Light Pacifics that were not sold for scrap and instead went straight into preservation by BR. Just only six members of the class have yet steam in preservation: 34010 Sidmouth, which is under restoration from scrapyard condition and its boiler stored at Bridgnorth, 34051 Winston Churchill, 21C166 Spitfire, and 34086 219 Squadron, which are on static display at the National Railway Museum in York, 34058 Sir Frederick Pile, which is under restoration at the Mid Hants Railway, and 34073 249 Squadron, which is awaiting restoration at Carnforth MPD. 34010, 34058, and 34073 are currently under restoration in varying degrees of intactness.

In a 2024 announcement, it was announced that 34028 Eddystone is now planning to be mainline certified. 34010 Sidmouth, 34058 Sir Frederick Pile and 34073 249 Squadron are also considering for having mainline certifications after their restoration. 34027 Taw Valley won’t be going on the mainline.
EVA Air and UNI Air are Taiwanese airlines based in Taipei-Taoyuan International Airport.
