This is an autopsy on a failed Gen 5 Haldex pump to determine cause of death. These pumps are fitted to Audi 8V S3, VW Mk7 Golf R and others.

This was the original pump fitted to an S3. It lasted 6 years and 115,000km. It only had one oil change at 60,000km.
