BTR-60 was a revolutionary design for its time, spawned in USSR in the late 1950s: most future armored personnel carriers (APCs) copied some of the key features of this new design: wheel chassis, armored roof, small gun turret, amphibious capability, protection against nuclear fallout, chemical and biological weapons.
