BIG SC Verdict! Stray Dogs Back on Streets After Sterilisation, Public Feeding Stopped

In a major verdict, the Supreme Court has modified its earlier order on stray dogs in Delhi-NCR. The Court has ruled that all stray dogs must be sterilised, vaccinated, and then released back into the same area they were picked up from. Only rabies-infected or aggressive dogs will be kept in shelters.

The Court has also banned public feeding of stray dogs, directing municipal bodies to set up designated feeding zones. This order now has a pan-India impact, with the Supreme Court moving towards creating a national stray dog management policy.
