BJP minister Hardeep Singh Puri Slams Rahul Gandhi's Remarks on Sikhs in the US


Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has strongly condemned Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's recent comments about the Sikh community during an event in Virginia, USA. Puri called Gandhi's statements "sinister" and accused him of spreading falsehoods among Sikhs living abroad.

He stated that the Sikh community has never felt safer than under the BJP government and that Gandhi's claims about Sikhs facing troubles wearing turbans and kadas are false.

Puri recalled that the only time Sikhs felt a sense of insecurity was when Rahul Gandhi's family was in power, referring to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots where 3,000 innocent people were killed

He challenged Gandhi to repeat his comments in India, warning of legal action.
Other BJP leaders like RP Singh and Shivraj Singh Chouhan also criticized Gandhi, accusing him of overlooking the Congress' role in the 1984 riots and maligning India's image abroad.

In contrast, TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha supported Gandhi, suggesting the BJP consistently opposes his actions regardless of context. Puri stated a forensic analysis is required on Gandhi's state of mind when making such remarks
