Side Menu: From Scratch | Swift 4, Xcode 9

Today we go over how to create a Side Menu/ hamburger menu/ drawer from scratch with Swift 4. In this tutorial, you will learn how to create the side menu using storyboards and notification center.

Side menus are extremely popular with apps that have a large amount of features that can't all fit within the tab bar. Side menus save real estate in you app's UI by being accessible through one button and giving the user access to the other features of the app. It also makes it so the user doesn't have to leave the current screen to see what other features are available.
