Rail to Water: Boat Loading at the LS&I Ore Dock

On three separate days in June 2021, I caught boats loading at the Lake Superior & Ishpeming ore dock in Marquette, Michigan. Built in 1912, this ore dock has been serving lake freighters for over 100 years. In this video, you will see the Lee A. Tregurtha, Hon. James L. Oberstar, and Kaye E. Barker, in Marquette. You will also see LS&I's 3PM dock job switching with a pair of leased AC4400CWs. Come along as we take a look at one of the Upper Peninsula's last rail to water operations!
