Punjab Flood: Several Villages In Nangal Area Flooded As Water Released From Bhakra Dam Into Sutlej

Punjab Flood: Due to heavy rains and cloudbursts in the upper regions of Himachal, the water level of Gobind Sagar Lake increased. The water is being released from Nangal Dam to Sutlej River, due to which Sutlej River is in full spate. Swami Ramanand Ashram, located about one kilometer from Nangal Dam, is completely submerged in water. Apart from this, Mojowal, Beladhyani, Bhanam and Jindwari villages have been inundated due to the floods.
