About The Leviathan:
The Leviathan is a small roller coaster in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, located on Del Perro Pier at the Pleasure Pier amusement park in Del Perro, Los Santos.

The coaster sits along the southern-facing section of the pier, surrounding the Ferris Whale and the other attractions at the park. Riders ascend a set of stairs to the boarding area, where they can either immediately board or must wait for the ride to finish a loop. There are four total ride cars with two rows of two seats in each car, holding a maximum of 16 people.

In Grand Theft Auto V, the Leviathan can be ridden by the player at a cost of $15. Each of the three protagonists have different reactions to the coaster.

At Grand Theft Auto Online's launch, the Leviathan was unavailable for rides, but was later made accessbible with the Independence Day Update in July 2014. The coaster receieved minor speed adjustments and graphical improvements with its debut, and the standard price of $15 per ride was carried over. However, only two players could board a single car at a time, despite the four total seats per car being available.[ref?] Players can earn RP by yelling or making noise into the microphone while on the ride. If the player is linked to their Rockstar Games Social Club account, they will also unlock an icon for riding the Leviathan.

The Leviathan is also referenced in Grand Theft Auto VI, where Lucia Caminos can be seen in the game's second trailer wearing a t-shirt advertising the Leviathan when being released from prison, with the slogan 'I Went Down On The Leviathan'.

The roller coaster is based on the West Coaster at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles. It is named after the Leviathan, a Biblical sea monster. From the top, the roller coaster's track appears to resemble a penis, an example of Rockstar's crude humor.
