12 mil görünme erişimi olan çakar fener, kurulmuş olduğu 10.01.1938 yılından bu yana hizmet İzmir Çeşme Yarımadası Urla-Karaburun yönünde yol alınca deniz kokulu birbirinden güzel koylara tepeden bakıp Karaburun'a ulaşıyorsunuz. Karaburun merkezinde bulunan Yeni iskele'den sonra 12 km daha ileriye, yarımadanın uç noktasına yaklaşınca önce Sarpıncık Köyüne, sonra da tepelere çıkıp en uç noktada Sarpıncık Deniz Feneri tabelalarını takip ederek toprak patika yollardan inişe geçiyorsunuz. Yarım adanın yalnızlığında masmavi Ege Denizinin fon oluşturduğu manzara içinde 12 metrelik beyaz kulesi ve bahçe içinde fener evi ile Sarpıncık Deniz Feneri ile karşılaşıyorsunuz. Çevrenizde uzun boylu bitkilere rastlamıyor fakat genziniz kuvvetli kekik otu kokusuyla yanıyor. Bu güçlü kokuya denizden süzülerek gelen yosun kokulu, iyot yüklü kuvvetli ve sık esen Ege rüzgârı karışıyor. Yarımadanın deniz seviyesinde biçimli kayalar ilgi çekiyor.

Denizden 97 metre yükseklikte bulunan Sarpıncık Feneri güneş enerjisi ile çalışıyor.

The 12-mile visibility flashlight has been in service since it was established on 10.01.1938. When you travel in the direction of Urla-Karaburun in the Izmir Çeşme Peninsula, you look down on the beautiful bays with sea scents and reach Karaburun. After the Yeni İskele in the center of Karaburun, you first go to Sarpıncık Village 12 km further, approaching the tip of the peninsula, and then you go up the hills and follow the Sarpıncık Lighthouse signs at the far end and start descending on dirt paths. In the solitude of the peninsula, you come across the Sarpıncık Lighthouse with its 12-meter white tower and the lighthouse house in the garden in the landscape where the deep blue Aegean Sea forms the background. You do not come across tall plants around you, but your throat burns with the strong smell of thyme. This strong smell is mixed with the strong and frequent Aegean wind that is loaded with iodine and smells like moss coming from the sea. The shaped rocks at the sea level of the peninsula attract attention.

Sarpıncık Lighthouse, located 97 meters above sea level, works with solar energy.
