Let's Play Warbanners! This new hex grid strategy game is wonderful in its detailed combat. I'm starting this Let's Play "in media res" and skipping the first handful of combats. The truth is I wanted to get a handle on the mechanics before I started LPing it and now I'd rather not redo all the earlier battles, plus this way you get to see more of what the game has to offer.

We play as Roderick the captain of the Silver Griffins and we're trying to bring our mercenary company to great renown as we help out in the middle of a big orcish war. Comparisons to Battle Brothers and Eador Genesis are inescapable and I would say valid. The game has that lovely Russian appeal of Eador in its hardcore and unforgiving mechanics, but it also has saving and loading so there's not as much to worry about. It's like battle brothers without worrying about all of the management and equipment. Here you can just focus on the battles.

Anyways, as I keep playing, I hope you pick up some of the mechanics and focus on maximizing your hit chance while minimizing the enemy's. Enjoy!
