The London Underground is the oldest system of its kind in the world, with a history that stretches all the way back to 1863.

Compared to many of the city's pubs though, it's a mere youngster! Many of London's pubs date back several centuries... so it's perhaps no surprise then that a number of tube stations are named after them.

In part two of this series that explores the history behind these stations and pubs, we’ll be looking at two north London stalwarts: Angel and Manor House.
