Portal 2 writers Erik Wolpaw & Jay Pinkerton: interview with ESBGC's GameTech program

The Boys & Girls Club of East Scarborough's GameTech program (video game design, development & enjoyment) conducted a Google Hangout video interview with two of the writers from Valve's Portal series, Jay Pinkerton and Erik Wolpaw. With great questions from program participants, Jay and Erik talk about the construction of the Portal team and how they, as writers, collaborate with the designers; how to break into the industry and the importance of taking initiative and just doing it; where they find their inspiration and how project constraints can help spur creativity; and, of course, the origins of the Companion Cube.
