Blue Eyes | Master Duel | Theme Chronicle 2024 Event | Blind 2nd Control

For the Master Duel Jan 2024 Theme Chronicle event, we’re playing a Blue-Eyes Rank 8 Blind 2nd Decklist. Now with the focus on the Solo mode archetypes and the extensive ban list for this event, the goal of our deck is to let our opponents use up their resources turn 1 and then break their boards turn 2 with power spells/cards and bring out big bodies with annoying effects to threaten lethal in follow up turns. This is a Control decklist and not meant to necessarily win quickly.

Board clearing power spells like Lightning Storm, Raigecki, Dark Hole, Feather Duster, and the trap card Evenly Matched are essential to our win condition when going blind 2nd.

Although the typical rank 8 XYZ cards are banned, there are still some useful ones available that have strong effects.

As a note of caution, play this only for fun!

Please don’t expect exhilarating gameplay or anything wild. Like I beat Rikka after 18 turns lol. I did end with a 10-1 record with the loss coming on a possible misplay, but it’s not recommended over the more popular/meta event decks.

Play for fun! Don’t waste your gems, just build around the cards you already have. A lot of them can be replaced with cheaper alternatives.
