Title:
What can SNAILs do for quantum-limited amplifiers?

Paper: https://journals.aps.org/prapplied/ab...

Abstract:
Quantum-limited Josephson parametric amplifiers are a key component in microwave readout of superconducting qubits. The boost of readout efficiency brought about by these amplifiers is crucial for applications such as real-time feedback in quantum error correction. In addition to quantum-limited noise performance, the scalability of such amplifiers to multi-qubit setups requires large power handling and bandwidth. In this talk, I will describe how we address these properties using a novel superconducting circuit element — the SNAIL (Superconducting Nonlinear Asymmetric Inductive eLement).
