Starbucks plans to invest nearly half a billion dollars into its U.S. stores thanks to a major shift in customer habits. This change includes new ways of ordering coffee, including mobile services and delivery. Now, drive-thru service makes up 50% of U.S. sales. Starbucks is looking for new ways to get customers in and out, including customizable cold drinks and a patented technology that will cut down on brew time for its signature hot coffee.
