Sephine Llo - "Face Your Heart Away" Live at Polesden Lacey National Trust

Polesden Lacey was where Robbie took me for our first date. We visited there every year after, and The Gold Room holds particularly special memories. I still take our kids there.
I am so grateful to have been allowed to record this video.
The song I chose to perform was one of the little demos I found on Robbie's hard-drive.
For ages I thought about how I could incorporate this little track into the album, somehow weave it into a song, or develop it into a fuller structure. But it always felt untouchable, and in the end I decided to put it on the album exactly as I found it, a tiny perfect pearl.
For this live version I added the improvisation at the start, Robbie would have been very jealous that I got to play the beautiful grand piano, he often admired it. I took his flat cap with me a placed it on the mantelpiece so that he could be a part of this experience.
