We recently received confirmation about some new characters from a reliable source, HomDGCat. It appears that Madame Ping will not be playable anytime soon. After Lan Yan, the only new character ID listed is Mizuki, confirming her debut in version 5.4. Mizuki, a five-star Anemo character, will join the standard banner after her limited run, similar to Dehya. While details about her kit are still unknown, leaks from FullStopChan have confirmed her inclusion in the game. Unfortunately, Madame Ping is once again absent from the roster.
Regarding reruns in version 5.4, the lineup remains speculative. Following the trend of Fontaine reruns, where characters like Clorinde and Neuvillette were featured, it is likely that a Fontaine character will appear. Candidates include Wriothesley and Sigewinne, both of whom have yet to receive their first rerun. Many players are hoping for Wriothesley, given his absence from banners since his initial release. Other possibilities include Shenhe or Xianyun, who have not seen a rerun in a long time. For Archon reruns, the two remaining candidates in the Archon marathon are Furina and Venti. Based on previous patterns, Venti seems more likely for version 5.4, while Furina could appear later—unless HoYoverse surprises players with another strong lineup.
In version 5.5, Iansan, an Electro polearm user, is the confirmed new character. While her star rating is not yet confirmed, she is expected to be a four-star. Alongside Iansan, we may see Varesa, another Electro character. Varesa is known for her competitive eating skills, having won an infernal stomach competition by consuming 80 servings of hot stew. Although her banner placement is still undecided, her playability has been confirmed. For reruns, Kinich and Mualani, introduced in version 5.0, have high chances of appearing. If Wriothesley or Sigewinne do not feature in version 5.4, they might show up in 5.5. Additionally, Emilie, who has not had a rerun since version 4.8, could make an appearance. Regarding Archons, either Venti or Furina is likely, depending on whether the much-anticipated Mondstadt map expansion arrives in this patch
