Suzuki Jimny 2019 - Detailed - Everything You Want to Know

The fourth-generation Suzuki Jimny has arrived, and as usual with the small off-roader, it’s packing plenty of might and muscle in such a small frame. The baby off-road machine gets plenty of new features, a lot of which have been thrown in to get fans of the model new reasons to get excited about what it has to offer.

As with the previous-generation model, the 2019 Jimny comes in two flavors: the mini car (sold exclusively in Japan as the Jimny), and the compact car (sold as the Jimny Sierra in Japan).

The European-spec 2019 Suzuki Jimny will be powered by the new 1.5-litre petrol engine, mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed AT. Suzuki's Allgrip Pro AWD system is offered as standard.

Suzuki offers the SUV in eight body colours :
Five single-tone colours : Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl, Medium Gray, Silky Silver Metallic, Superior White
Three dual-tone colours : Kinetic Yellow, Brisk Blue Metallic, Chiffon Ivory Metallic

Jimny will be available in XG, XL, and XC variants, the Jimny Sierra is available in two variants - JL and JC.


The price of the Jimny SUV starts JPY 1,458,000 (Rs 9.02 lakh) for the base model called the Jimny XG and goes up to JPY 2,019,600 (Rs 12.49 lakh) for the top-end Jimny Sierra JC variant.

The all-new Suzuki Jimny is expected to be launched in India in the mid of 2019.
