COCONUT MODAK

Ingredients

2 cups desiccated coconut
1 tbsp ghee + for greasing
2 tbsps chopped cashew nuts
2 tbsps chopped almonds
2 tbsps chopped pistachios
½ tsp green cardamom powder
½ cup condensed milk

Method

1. Heat ghee in a nonstick kadai. Add cashew nuts, almonds and pistachios and sauté till golden brown. Transfer in a plate and set aside.
2. Add desiccated coconut to the same pan and sauté on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
3. Transfer in a bowl, add all the nuts, green cardamom powder and mix well.
4. Add condensed milk and mix well.
5. Grease modak mould with some ghee.
6. Divide the mixture into small portions. Add each portion in greased modak mould and press well.
7. Demould and serve.
