Do you ever wonder what kind of person you would have been like had you lived in a different historical period?

Would you have been a warrior in the Battle of Carthage had you lived in 2nd century Rome?

Would you have been a flapper had you lived in the Roaring 20’s?

Would you have been a painter had you lived during the Italian Renaissance?

Would you have studied science during the Islamic golden age?

Would you have been an outlaw had you lived in the Wild West?

Would you have been a Samurai warrior had you lived in Japan in the 1700’s.

Write a short story about your life in another historical period. Be creative with your ideas. If you have a best friend today who you would like to include in a story in Ancient Greece, then do it. If you want to discuss your ethical concerns about being a viking and raiding villages, write it. If you want to describe a day of hunting in ancient Mesopotamia, go for it.

Choose a historical period that intrigues you, then insert yourself in that setting, and write a story.
