Building a HUGE Pond Filter - Part 1 - Introduction

Описание к видео Building a HUGE Pond Filter - Part 1 - Introduction

First episode in this mega-filter build for my large trout pond. Today we will take a look at the various parts of the filter and I'll explain how they are going to be fitted together to form a huge filter which will hopefully clear the pond.
The next episodes will highlight the individual parts of the filter and have links to the gear I am using wherever possible.
The parts / features of this filter will be as follows:

3 x Vortex
1 x Brush chamber
1 x Moving bed chamber (water driven)
2 x Bio / settlement chamber with crates of Alfagrog
1 or 2 x large shower filters filled with Biohome shower media and white pumice over more crates of Alfagrog
1 x Daphnia breeding chamber
(+ possible Aquaponics chambers?)
A nation of pipes, joints, taps, drains and features which should hopefully make the cleaning of the filter very easy - the goal is to use the sediment rich nutritious water drained from the filter to feed my lawn and garden borders.
