Can Clear Cutting Actually Create Deer Habitat?!

Clear cutting an area on your property sounds like a big task, and can seem visually unpleasant. But, a few buddies with chainsaws can cover some ground quickly. Following up in the area with prescribed fire and herbicide can help transform closed canopy forest into incredible habitat for deer and other wildlife! Using prescribed fire will help consume the debris in the site over time, and keep it in early successional habitat. Herbicide can also be used in conjunction with prescribed fire to get rid of undesired species on the site.
