Now in it’s fifth generation this iteration of the Land Rover Discovery first went on sale in the UK at the beginning of 2017. Now sharing a platform with the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport the new ‘Disco’ has a much more modern look and feel to it, leaving the utilitarian approach of previous models behind. This huge spec example comes in the 7-seat configuration with electrically folding rear seats giving supreme people and luggage carrying capacity. The quality and layout of the interior is now much more akin to that of the modern-day Range Rovers, which is no bad thing, hosting a plethora of driver aids as standard. This HSE spec level features many of the best optional extras as standard including the Meridian Sound System and 12-way memory Windsor leather front seats. Combine all of this with class leading off road capability, thanks to independent air suspension and a twin-speed transfer box, and the Discovery presents itself as a true work-horse, ready for whatever life throws at you.
