Tracey Silvester, Executive Manager at Envigor Private Home Care discusses Consumer Directed Care (CDC) on ABC 24 Australia-wide prime-time news bulletin with host Fauziah Ibrahim on the 27th of February, 2017

Changes to Consumer Directed Care (CDC) were introduced nationwide on the 27th of February 2017 affecting hundreds of thousands of recipients of home care in Australia (aged and those with a disability requiring home care).

Envigor Private Home Care's Executive Manager, Tracey Silvester, has more than 25 years experience in senior positions in Queensland Health as a consultant to the community and aged care sectors, not-for-profit organisations and private aged care. She is a Registered Nurse, and holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Health Management. Tracey is also an Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Health Services Management.

Tracey has an intimate understanding of the way in which both consumers and organisations should respond in order to make these new CDC changes work for them - these changes are an opportunity, but need to be well understood and carefully managed otherwise they will leave consumers not receiving the care they need.
