Nicolas Kent: Director 1984 – 2012 Tricycle Theatre. His political pieces which became known as the Tricycle Tribunal Plays, included: Half the Picture, The Colour of Justice (The Stephen Lawrence Inquiry), Nuremberg, Srebrenica, Guantanamo, The Riots and Bloody Sunday (Olivier Award for Special Achievement). Most were later broadcast by the BBC. In 2009, he directed the 9-hour trilogy: The Great Game – Afghanistan (nominated for an Olivier award) in London, which subsequently toured America, and gave 2 command performances for the Pentagon in Washington. He directed Another World at the National Theatre (2016), and his own play All the President’s Men? – President Trump’s cabinet nomination hearings was produced by the National Theatre & the Public Theater in the West End & Broadway in 2017.

Carol Martin, Ph.D. is a Professor of Drama at Tisch School of the Arts, and Affiliated Faculty at New York University, Abu Dhabi. Her books include: Theatre of the Real and Dramaturgy of the Real on the World Stage. Her articles have been translated into French, Japanese, Chinese, and Polish. Her book series, “In Performance,” includes international anthologies of plays and performance texts and is published by Seagull Books. Her guest-edited issues of TDR include: Documentary Theatre, Performing the City, and The Return of the Real. Martin has been awarded several fellowships including: Visiting Professor Fellowship at Tokyo University, Komaba, Graduate School of Arts and Science; Fulbright Senior Specialist Fellowship; a Fulbright to India; and a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Seminar Fellowship. She has been a keynote speaker at several international conferences.
