🗳️ Mayor Eric Adams took a major step forward in his reelection campaign on Thursday, earning endorsements from major law enforcement unions and the sanitation unions.

The Detectives' Endowment Association, Sergeants Benevolent Association, Lieutenants Benevolent Association and Correction Officers Benevolent Association were among the organizations throwing their weight behind Adams, though the NYPD's largest union, the Police Benevolent Association has yet to complete its endorsement process.

According to the Adams campaign, officials from the following unions also attended the event: Captains Endowment Association, NY Detective Investigators Association, NYC Correction Captains Association, Sanitation Officers Association, Uniformed Sanitationmen's Association Local 831, United Probation Officers Association, Assistant Deputy Wardens/Deputy Wardens Association, CWA Local 1182 (Traffic Enforcement), and police and law enforcement unions from across New York state.
