It is essential that you stay safe and escape any threat involving a weapon. If you absolutely have to defend yourself, this is the strategy you should use. Paying attention to range and distancing, you will jam up your opponent with a weapon, avoiding the most dangerous part of the bat (the tip).

You must remember that this does NOT pertain to sharp objects like a knife, or piece of glass. This is only for blunt trauma weapons like baseball bats and other hard weapons. Stay safe and avoid the street fight at all costs!
