2000 Acura 3.2 TL – P0505 Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) replacement

Описание к видео 2000 Acura 3.2 TL – P0505 Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) replacement

DIY Step-by-step how to replace the Idle Air Control Valve to fix idle RPM surging up and down at idle using only a few simple hand tools and about 45 minutes of time. Filming, editing, and uploading this video took longer than the car repair did.

Replacing a defective AutoZone Duralast part number AC4069 with a Genuine Honda part number 16022-P8A-A03.
Honda dealer retail price $249.86 + sales tax + $1 handling + $21.95 shipping via UPS.
Other Honda and Acura dealers wanted over $300 up to more than $400 for this part.
The part arrived in California from Alabama in 7 days.
Very few of these parts still exist anywhere in the country.

I returned the lifetime guaranteed broken (defective) AutoZone part and received $78.29 cash refund.

Supersedes (replaces) prior part numbers 16022-P8A-A01 and 16022-P8A-A02.
The genuine Honda part will be stamped with “Denso” on it. All others are cheap imitations and will not work well and/or will not last very long.

Check Engine Light code P0505. You may already have the idle surging up and down problem and not have a P0505 check engine light yet. My car did that for a long time before the Check Engine Light finally came on. RPM bouncing up and down at idle.

High mileage Acura with 614,122 miles on original engine.
