The Growth of Ketogenic Therapy with Beth Zupec-Kania

Clinicians have used keto diets to treat epilepsy for over 100 years, and decades of research support the safe and effective use of therapeutic ketosis. But ketosis still faces many hurdles to becoming first line therapy in medical practice, and the same is likely the case for using ketosis to treat mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Registered dietitian Beth Zupec-Kania has used ketogenic therapy for brain-based disorders for over three decades and joins Metabolic Mind to discuss the transformation she has seen, as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead.
