SonicProjects OP-X PRO-II virtual analog software Oberheim VST AU synth. Domoing some famous 80s songs patches as well as some typical sounds from various classic famous analog synths.

Featured interface: Rack Edition Huge and in the final part Synth Large. The synth offers 2 interface types (rack/synth) each in 3 sizes via separate installers to fit anyone's personal preferences and all kind of computer screens.

As you may guess by the looks of the interface the synth originally was based on the Oberheim OB-X, but in its evolution loads of additional features borrowed from other classic analog synths were added which allows OP-X PRO-II to emulate the tyical sounds of almost any classic analog synth from back the day including Jupiter-8, Prophet-5, Matrix-12 and partly even Minimoog. Don't get fooled by the synth's interface! Listen to the featured sounds and judge by yourself what you HEAR, not what you see! Compare!

The added features include:

- 12 voice polyphony like Matrix-12
- sine FM like Matrix-12
- seamlessly blendable multimode filter like the SEM but extended
- switchable filter self oscillation for filter effects
- arpeggiator with normal (pitch order) and Jupiter-8 mode (input order)
- 8-step on-the-go sequencer inspired by the EMS Synthi A
- double mode inspired by the Crumar Bit-99/One
- manual chord hold (like OB-X) and preset chords
- sampled vibrato like Oberheim OB-8
- invertable filter envelope like Jupiter-8
- 3-octaves preset chord for 3-osc Minimoog bass emulation
- filter morphing (by lfo or envelope) inspired by the E-mu Morpheus
- switchable ring modulation
- switchable filter brightness modes for various sound characters
- panning modulation (unique)

Regading classic analog synth emulation the library contains whole banks which actualy include original factory presets from these synths which were cloned in every tiny detail. As an example check the Jupiter-8 factories bank:

Regarding famous 80s patches there are many, not only in the featured "Famous" bank. The sound reloads site actually offers a collection which includes ALL so far released famous 80s patches extracted from various banks sorted alphabetically both in 3 banks and as single presets. It's a total of 354 patches featuring 139 songs from 68 bands! You can download it here:
