Koh Larn 🏝 Island tripping Pattaya Thailand

Koh Larn is an island located just 3 nautical miles from Pattaya Thailand. The ultimate day trip for anyone visiting Pattaya. Boats depart daily from the Bali Hai Pier located at the foot of Walking Street. 300 baht will buy you a round trip ticket between Koh Larn and Pattaya via speedboat. Public ferry is also available at considerably less cost but it also considerably slower. The boat ride (speedboat ) takes around 15 minutes to complete and is well worth the ticket price.

The beaches on Koh Larn definitely exceed those of Pattaya and Jomtien. Clean, blue and turquoise waters bring that Thailand island vibe to life. Tawaen beach is the most popular beach on the island and can be quite busy with tourists from Pattaya. If you are looking to escape the crowds we suggest checking out Tien, Ta Yai, Monkey and Samae beaches. All of these beaches will leave an amazing impression on anyone who takes the time to explore them. You can explore the island via baht bus, motorcycle taxi or even rent your own scooter or golf cart.

Restaurants, beach bars and boutique hotels are scattered across the island offering a retreat from the sun or an evening away from the neon lights of Pattaya City.

Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent at all of the beaches. They average 100 baht per chair and umbrella. A cold beer for a few extra baht and your beach day on Koh Larn will be complete.

This was our fourth trip over to Koh Larn from the Pattaya / Jomtien Beach area so we updated the video to provide more content and a more comprehensive look at Koh Larn. It seems that every time we take this journey there is more to discover. Koh Larn really is an excellent reprieve from the endless nightlife of Walking Street, Soi 6 and the rest of Pattaya.
