1)Amid row over Bhumika temple ritual rights, the Poriem villagers have urged the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to intervene to resolve the law and order issue. They have request to call for a joint meeting with deputy Collector and police and to work out solution.

2) After failing to get financial benefit in 2024-25 Union Budget, the State has once again demanded Rs 1000cr for laying new water pipeline and also Rs 5000cr for railway infrastructure. The same demands were put forth in the last budget too.

3)Panaji police has arrested a Taleigao resident for allegedly killing animal. The animal remains handed over to Animal Husbandry to conduct post mortem. 
Few days ago farmers from Taleigao, fed up with their crops being damaged by this rogue animal and the police doing nothing with their repeated complaints decided to take this drastic action. They had also captured the animal which has one of its ears tagged, and headed to the police station with the animal in tow.

4)17 people from 2 groups have been booked for alleged unauthorized entry at Jalvani waterfall under Mhadai wildlife sanctuary. As per information, total 17 individuals from two groups are booked under section 27 of wildlife protection act 1972 at Madei wildlife sanctuary for unauthorised entry into a high risk waterfall.
One group was led by Pratik S. Bandwadikar & Amit M. Lohar both Rio Belguam; whereas other group lead by Vijay Kumar Vankou Rio Raichur & Shivraj Budihal Rio Nargindi. Also drone was used for photography and videography at the sanctuary area without valid permits is seized.
 
5) Accident between Kadamba bus and van at Velkas,Savio-Verem; van driver Gurudas Datta (52) critically injured; admitted to Goa Medical College (GMC).

6)The tourist season has started in Goa. A large number of tourists visit Goa. However, Manuel Cardoz, president of the Tradition Shack Owner Association, said the government has failed to provide the facilities tourists need. Garbage collection is not done properly on the beaches, the toilets are in disrepair. Tourists sit on the beach with bottles of wine but no action is taken against them. Cardoz said they take money from the shack owners but do not get facilities.
