Rob Smat is a young hybrid of the motion picture industry. After directing his first feature at 22, which was released by Vertical Entertainment, is now licensed to Netflix, and received positive reviews from Variety et al., Rob began production on a slate of projects, in addition to keynoting an American Heart Association convention in early 2020, due to the awareness that his film, THE LAST WHISTLE, brought to the condition of sudden cardiac arrest in young athletes. His next narrative film will be an adaptation of Gaines Baty's bestselling CHAMPION OF THE BARRIO, about El Paso's historic Hispanic football team, and his next documentary will be about the Walmart shooting and corporate response.
