each of colours 00103, 00870 and 07901

-- Additional materials --
Milward: crochet hook, size 1.50 mm (US 6), scissors
In addition: a balloon, 40 - 45 cm (16 - 18 inches) in diameter;
400 g of wood glue (preferably Express glue); one bowl to
mix the liquid and a larger bowl to lay the balloon on; a E 27
lamp fitting and corresponding LED bulb, 8W; one round film
lampshade, 150 x 87 mm (for strings of lights)

-- INSTRUCTIONS --
1. Crochet your doilies (approx. 11)
2. Arrange materials
3. Mix the glue with water, mixing 2 parts of glue with 1 part of water
4. Inflate the balloon to the desired size and lay it
on the larger bowl
5. Dip each doily in the glue mixture, wring it out
slightly...
6. Smooth it onto the balloon. First adhere
doilies to the upper half of the balloon.
7. Adhere the doilies to the upper half of the
balloon, one by one, leaving approx. 5 cm (2
inches) free around the knot of the balloon.
8. Let the first half dry for approx. 6 - 8 hours
9. Then adhere doilies to the second half in the
same manner. Attention: While the first half is
drying, cover the glue mixture in the bowl, to
prevent it from drying out.
10. Let the finished balloon dry for one day. Then pop the balloon with a pin and remove it from the centre.
11. Arrange the parts of the lamp fitting.
12. Wrap the film lampshade around the cable, above
the fitting, and close it with the plastic rivets
13. Screw the LED bulb in place
14. Place the lamp fitting with film lampshade in the
doily globe
15. If the top opening is small enough, the film lampshade will hold the doily globe in place
