Circuit Introduction to Typical On-Chip DAC circuits

Описание к видео Circuit Introduction to Typical On-Chip DAC circuits

This video discusses the basic Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) circuits classically and typically used for on-chip applications.

One approach is a current DAC, where the digital input code effectively chooses between several binary weighted (e.g. powers of 2) current levels for the output current. Typically as a voltage is desired, this output current goes through a load element.

A related approach is a charge DAC where capacitors in a circuit can apply different amounts of charge to the charge-summing node. The reset switch is required to set the charge initially, although that charge could be programmed if used in a Floating-Gate (FG) configuration.
