Namaskaram, I want some marble and granite..If you are going to purchase marble and granite like me, I will share you some information that you have to be careful.

Which one is best for flooring? It depends on our craze for them,
While we are visiting our friends and relatives the flooring materials may attract us to make a decision..
Most the budget and other parameters are coming second
So whole you are going to purchase marble with this craze, just do preplanning before purchase.

Let me share some tips that I have personally taken into account or things to consider before purchasing marble..First, Let me explain what is marble ?
This is a Turkish marble called Grey Sonata ( model shown in the video )

marble is a natural stone formed by crystallization of limestone over time..
These grains are the beauty of a marble stone
These grains are formed by salts and minerals, frozen during the crystallization

These are not digitally printed, nature itself decides the pattern.Thus the marble patterns are complex and random

Here my requirement was to purchase marble for sit out living and dining area.
I decided granite to steps
staircase and kitchen slab

While i am purchasing things that i am concerned are shared in this video.
During interior designing client required for high gloss flooring.
Glaziness is more in Italian marble , spanish marble or turkish marble rather than Indian marble

Already I have selected some marble designs, let me show you that

First model is Grey sonata.
It is coming from turkey.A Big size slab ( Gangsaw size ) have 5-6 feet width and 50-60 sqft coverage.
If the width of slab is more than 6 ft It is difficult to enter into home with that marble slab.So 6 feet width is enough for a lengthy marble

Then main advantage or Big size marble ( Gangsaw size ) is it will look like a single carpet without much more joints between them

The main reason for this colour tone is the premium look.This marble is available in 16 mm thickness also 18 mm thickness.
My second favourite marble is brecia arora It is a typical italian marble .
It is having 18 mm thickness.The patterns of brecia arora is something random

One thing you have to understand before purchasing a italian marble is while you are visiting a showroom for marble
these are display units and are polished lightly.
All the marble slabs you purchased is not polished like this .
After laying and polishing then glaziness is visible for you.

Another my favourite marble is ocean blue.
It is a turkish marble.

Advantages of Marble

1.Beauty of patterns
Design of marble is an art of our nature.so the marble patterns are very attractive
2 It is Natural material .So it provides comfert while walking
3. It is a symbol of luxury.
4.Marble can be repolshed after 5-10 years.

Disadvantges:
1 Marble is a soft material.So it have absorption tendancy.
which means marble absorbs water from ground and reflected at the top.
So resist this problem we need to do dense flooring like RCC flooring and water based primer to seal the bottom body of slab

2 Required skilled labours for laying Otherwise patterns may mis match.
Follow the number pattern provided in the side face of marble before laying.

3.We may get cheated easly during purchase of marble.
because we dont know the exact pattern or finish before polishing.
so always buy marble from a credible showroom.
