Recorded and released in 1961, Kon Tiki hit the Number 1 spot in October of that year. It was written by Michael Carr, who also wrote several tunes recorded by The Shadows.
For all the anoraks out there, I used the wrong period guitar, it was intentional as I found the Rosewood fingerboard easier to play the slides/thirds of the 2nd verse. Backing track was from Roger Paulsson.
Equipment used, was a Fender Custom Shop 60's NOS Stratocaster into a TVS3 echo and then into my Vox AC15 C1.
This tune is the property of its rightful owner and this video is made solely for the purpose of study, review and/or critical analysis.
