So Huawei came up with a solution to replace GMAIL which is one of the top reason why people want phones with google services. This is the NEW Huawei Petal Mail App! The GMAIL replacement! What's New in HUAWEI Petal Mail App

A little bit of history. HUAWEI now have their own email service called Petal Mail. Available through the HUAWEI AppGallery, Petal Mail offers a complete email experience with a dedicated app. Recently, HUAWEI started testing several new features in its app, which have been made available to public beta testers in China. These beta testers had access to a new user experience, multi-account management, and all-around improvements.

How to access?

Starting with the App: Search and download Petal Mail via AppGallery. Currently, this email app can be installed on devices running EMUI 4.0 or later.

So for Web:

Signup or Login to your account on the official Petal Mail website from a PC browser to use the mailbox service.

This cannot be accessed using a regular mobile browser and it also has browser compatibity.

Firefox 23 or later
Opera 15 or later
Or microsoft edge

This is how a web email look like. Pretty simple and straight forward. There's a login window. Once you login, you will go to the minimalist web email client.

Lets go back to the phone, if this is your first time, you can register for your own email address, it will @petalmail.com. This app will have access to your account information, device imformation, network information and service usage information As well as permission on your internet and storage. Pretty safe, nothing out of ordinary. So you will have inbox, starred, drafts, sent, you also have archive trash and spam. Super minimalist nothing complicated. These are the New Features of the Petal Mail App:

Support for multiple Petal Mail accounts – up to 10 accounts at the same time.

Support independent login and log out of a single account.

The addition of improved protection for email activities to prevent tracking of your IP address and emails.

A new welcome page has been added.

And improved user experience.
