Mikiphone Pocket Phonograph

Описание к видео Mikiphone Pocket Phonograph

A clip of my 1926 Mikiphone Pocket Phonograph. This remarkable portable gramophone, manufactured by Paillard in Switzerland, packs up into its metal case for transportation and resembles a large pocket watch measuring approximately 4½" in diameter. All of the parts store inside including the turntable, soundbox and resonator. Although the turntable is only 4" it will easily play full sized records.

The motor has been just serviced and adjusted, the turntable felt has been replaced and the soundbox rebuilt with new gaskets and diaphrgam.

The recording is 'Nobody's Sweetheart' played by Mackenzie & Condon's Chicagoans on Parlophone R643 dating from around 1930.
