Nissan-Infinity no start, no spark from a faulty crank sensor

How to troubleshoot a no start, no spark problem. This video is a fantastic review of the material I have in Chapter 2 “Switch Inputs” and Chapter 21 “Ignition System Inputs” in my book. The methods I’m demonstrating here can be applied to ANY pull-up design Hall effect sensor out there, not just Nissan or Infiniti.

replace the failed crankshaft position sensor

how to use scan data to check for an RPM signal
how to use a wiring diagram to identify a sensor circuit
how to use a scope to check a hall effect sensor circuit
using a test light to perform a bypass test
