দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের সময় অনেক দেশ তাদের সামরিক শক্তির পরিচয় দিয়েছে। কিন্তু এই যুদ্ধে ক্ষতি হয়েছে অগণিত সৈন্য এবং সাধারণ মানুষ। যার বিবরণ লিখলে ইতিহাসের একটি সম্পূর্ণ বই লেখা যাবে। আর যুদ্ধের কারণ বা ফল সবটাই পশ্চিমাদের ইতিহাসের বই গুলি পড়লে বুঝা যায়। তবে এই যুদ্ধে সরাসরি বা পরোক্ষভাবে কয়েকটি শক্তিশালী  দেশ তথা জাপান এবং জার্মানির সাথে সাথে আরো একটি দেশ এই যুদ্ধের কবলে পরে তার নাম পোল্যান্ড। দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের পর দেশটি জার্মানির হিটলারের স্বৈরাচারী মনোভাব এবং স্বাসন ব্যবস্থার কাছে সব থেকে বেশি নিগৃহীত দেশ  গুলির মধ্যে একটি ছিল। একটা সময় নিগ্রহের পরিমান এতটাই বেশি হয়ে যায় যে যার  সেখানকার মানুষের অস্তিস্ত টিকিয়ে রাখাই দায় হয়ে পরে। কিন্তু এই সব প্রতিবন্ধকতাকে দূর করে, পোল্যান্ড বর্তমানে এক উন্নত দেশ হিসাবে পরিচিতি লাভ করেছে।


বর্তমানে পৃথিবীর উন্নত  দেশ গুলির বেশিরভাগ টাই ইউরোপ মহাদেশের অন্তর্গত। তাই এইসব উন্নত দেশ গুলির আধুনিকতা যত বেড়েছে দেশে বড়ো বড়ো শহরও নির্মাণের কাজ তত শুরু হয়েছে। কিন্তু তার সাথে এই দেশ গুলিতে বন্য জন্তু গুলিও জন্য যে বনজঙ্গল রয়েছে তাও ধীরে ধীরে কমে যাচ্ছে। আর বনজঙ্গলের অংশ কমে যাওয়ায় কিছু ইউরোপীয় বাইসন এবং ব্রাউন বিয়ারের মতো কিছু প্রাণী দিন দিন লুপ্ত হয়ে যাচ্ছে। কিন্তু পোল্যান্ডে অবস্থিত বিএলওয়েজা নামক জঙ্গলে এখনো সেই প্রাণী গুলিকে মুক্ত অবস্থায় দেখা যায়। 

পৃথিবীতে পোল্যান্ড এমন একটি দেশ যেখানে ড্রাগনের মুখ দিয়ে সত্যি কারের আগুন বের হয়। তবে ব্রোঞ্জ দিয়ে নির্মিত এই ড্রাগনটি কৃত্তিম কিন্তু আগুনটা সত্যিকারের যেটা প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাসের সাহায্যে জ্বালানো হয়। ক্রাকাও তে গিয়ে মূর্তিটির সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে সমস করে বললেও মূর্তিটি দিয়ে আগুন বের হয়। আসলে ড্রাগনের স্ট্যাচুটি স্বাস ফেলার সময় সেই অগুনতি বের হয়। এই স্ট্যাচুটি নির্মাণ করেন পোলান্ডেরই এক মূর্তি প্রস্তুতকারক ব্রোনিসলাও ক্রমী। এবং বর্তমানে এটি একটি জনপ্রিয় পর্যটন কেন্দ্র হয়ে উঠেছে। বিশেষ করে বাচ্চাদের কাছে এটি খুবই পছন্দের জায়গা।

বিজ্ঞান এবং প্রযুক্তিবিদ্যাতেও পোল্যান্ড অনেকটাই এগিয়ে রয়েছে। বহুকাল আগে থেকেই পোল্যান্ডের বৈজ্ঞানিকেরা তাদের আবিষ্কারের দ্বারা দেশটিকে বিশ্বের বিজ্ঞান সমাজের শিখরে পৌঁছানোর চেষ্টা করেছে। যেখানে বিখ্যাত বৈজ্ঞানিক মেরি কুরী জন্মে ছিলেন। রসায়ন বিজ্ঞানে তেজস্ক্রিয়তার অনুসন্ধান কার্যে যার অবদান সবচেয়ে বেশি রয়েছে। এবং পৃথিবীর চারদিকে যে সূর্য প্রদক্ষিণ করে চলেছে এই ধারণাকে সর্বপ্রথম ভুল প্রমান করেন নিকোলাস কোপারনিকাস নামের এক পোল্যান্ডের বৈজ্ঞানিক। তো বুজতেই পারছেন বিজ্ঞানের দিক দিয়ে ইউরোপের অন্য সব দেশ গুলির থেকে পোল্যান্ড কতটা এগিয়ে রয়েছে। 

The history of Poland shows that the country has been fighting for independence for decades. As a result, they were able to gain independence several times, but the country regained its independence through the Treaty of Versailles at the end of the First World War. But this independence day did not last. World War II began in 1939 when Hitler of Germany invaded Poland. It would not be wrong to call what happened in this war a black chapter in history. Although the country gained some independence after World War II, the Soviet Union's influence remained strong. But it ended with the revolution of 1969. At that time, Poland became known as an independent state, ending several years of communist rule.



Citizens of Poland are called Polish or Pol. The country's population plummeted as a result of countless deaths during World War II. So it may be thought that it will take a long time to double the current population of the country. Harmony The economies of the powerful countries of Europe reached a critical juncture when the Western countries were suffering from the financial crisis. But the Polish economy did not go down very well. Because the Polish economy was stable at the time, Poland did not have to go through this crisis.





At present, most of the developed countries of the world belong to the European continent. So as the modernity of these developed countries has increased, so has the construction of big cities in the country. But at the same time, the forests that these countries have for wildlife are slowly declining. And with the declining forest cover, some European bison and brown bears are becoming extinct. But in the BLVEZA forest in Poland, the animals are still free.



Poland is also far ahead in science and technology. Long ago, Polish scientists tried to take the country to the top of the world's scientific community by their discoveries. Where the famous scientist Mary Curie was born. The greatest contribution to the research of radioactivity in chemistry. And Nicolas Copernicus, a Polish scientist, was the first to disprove the idea that the sun was orbiting the earth. So you can understand how far Poland is ahead of all other countries in Europe in terms of science.
