Four Lakes Loop Backpacking, Trinity Alps Wilderness

After testing our gear for 2022 backpacking season in Sam Mcdonald county park, we finally found some time to do the first long distance backpacking trip of the season. We decided to drive up 5 hours north from Fremont to Weverville, CA where we were hoping to backpack a 20mile loop in Trinity Alps Wilderness. The loop trail traverses through 4 gorgeous alpine lakes: Deer, Summit, Diamond and Luella lake. Unfortunately the couple of days we picked for the trip didn't serve us well. Unexpectedly cold temperatures and severe thunder storms plus snow showers forced us to shorten our originally planned 3 day hike to just 2 days. Still we had a great time hiking this pristine landscape. We compiled this brief video to share our experience with you. Hope you enjoy this one.
