Walking the 18th Avenue Feast - The Feast of Santa Rosalia -in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

The 18th Avenue Feast will run from August 17th to August 27th, and is located on 18th Avenue in Bensonhurst from Bay Ridge Parkway - 75th Street to 68th Street. The hours of the feast and street closures are 6pm to 11pm on weekdays, and 11am to 11pm on weekends. On the final day, August 27th, there will be a procession through the streets of Bensonhurst at 2pm, followed by a Mass at St Domenic at 3:30pm

On this walk, we will start at Bay Ridge Parkway where the Ferris wheel is located, and start our walk towards 68th Street. For the first leg of the walk, we will check out the rides, vendors, and food stands, and games. Once we get to 68th Street, we will turn around and do our slow walk back in the middle of 18th Avenue getting a look at the people and the festive atmosphere.

This first walk will have no commentary. I will be doing 2 more walks before it is all over. I plan to do a day walk on the weekend, and a night commentary walk as well. So stay tuned for more walks at the 18th Avenue Feast.
