Brief Interview about "Rebecca" with Thomas Borchert and Lucy Scherer, and some more footage from the cast presentation last Friday.Translation:
Moderator: After „Elisabeth" and „Dance of the Vampires" another successful musical transfers from Vienna to the stage in Stuttgart.
„Rebecca" will be celebrating its German premiere in this year's December.
Today, the actors were presented to the public.

Moderator:
After weeks of casting, the actors of the new musical Rebecca have finally been decided upon.
The male protagonist, will be occupied by Thomas Borchert. He will be singing and playing the role of Maxim deWinter.
The casting for the musical cost him an abundance of nerves.

Thomas Borchert:
Castings, of course, are always something where you're nervous.Me, I'm still terribly nervous.I used to think, that that would quiet down as one gets older...but it actually seems to be getting worse,the older one gets, possibly because one is putting onself under more pressure and striving for perfection, which, of course isn't possible.A casting is always really nerve wracking.

By his side is Lucy Scherer.
For Stuttgarters, the thirty year old isn't a new face. She already starred in „Wicked" and in „Dance of the Vampires" in the state capital.

Lucy Scherer (Yay!):
I'm already looking forward to seeing the faces I already know, the people that have already been a lot in our performances, and that I have talked to before, and I'm hoping for them to return, and for others,too, of course!
I have played my greatest roles in Stuttgart up until now, and I am very happy to be back here.

Moderator: Despite the great competition, Thomas and Lucy came out on top at the casting.
They got into their characters will all of their heartblood.

And Lucy has exactly what the character needs,what makes her so special and extraordinary.
She is always honest, direct,authentic.She only has to start to sing, and you know exactly what state she is in,and is emotionally with her.

She really is all by herself in this big house, and has no one she can trust and really proves a great strength, that she keeps developing more and more throughout the play.
And she really is fighting hard fo r this love, where coming from the outside, one would think..hmm, this really is an unlikely couple..me, personally, I wouldn't know if I, as Lucy would have made it through all of this.

Beginning at the 8th of December, Rebecca will be shown in Stuttgart's Palladium Theater.Besides swinging music and a moving story, a spectacle of lights will await the audience.
